MANKATO, Minn. – The Northland College Women's Soccer team falls on the road to Bethany Lutheran College 6-1 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play in Mankato, Minn., Saturday afternoon.
Clara Schmiesing scored in the match, the first goal in six games for Northland against the Vikings.

The Jills had the first shot on goal in the match at the 3:06 mark from
Greta Keffer. The Vikings landed on the board in the 13
th minute with a goal from Mia Johnson. The lead did not last long, four minutes later Keffer played a ball to Schmiesing to level the game at 1-1. Bethany Lutheran scored again in the 29
th minute and only extended its lead throughout the match, winning 6-1.

The LumberJills recorded all of their shots in the first quarter with four. Schmiesing and Keffer both totaled two with Schmiesing's shots all being on target and Keffer's shots with one on target and one missed wide right.
Elysabeth Lough had 10 saves in goal and increased her season total to 142.

The Jills enter their final week of play next week. They start with the University of Wisconsin-Superior on Wednesday at 7:30 and end their season against the University of Northwestern at Ponzio Stadium at 1 p.m.
