MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Northland College Women's Soccer team fell 2-0 to North Central University Wednesday afternoon in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play in Minneapolis Minn. The Jills had their chances but were unable to convert on any of their 12 shots.

Norah Green took the first shot of the match, 57 seconds into play for one of the quickest shots Northland has had all season.
Elysabeth Lough held strong in the goal, saving three shots in the first 10 minutes. An unlucky clearance from the Jills ended up in the back of their net. The LumberJills continued to press forward attacking the goal.
Alyssa Riddle hit the post with the final shot of the half.

Just like the first half Northland came out strong with an early shot. This time
Clara Schmiesing had a crack at goal but Abigail Herbolsheimer made the save. Throughout the second half, both teams continued to attack the goal with the keepers coming up big. It wasn't until the Rams found themselves with a penalty the score changed. In the 85
th minute, Ramiyah Woods took the penalty kick hitting the right post, and scored to give NCU a 2-0 victory.

The Jills had another strong day on the offensive side of the ball recording 12 shots with seven being on frame. Schmiesing led Northland with four shots, half being on target. Behind her was
Greta Keffer with all three of her shots having to be saved. For the sixth game in a row, Lough has made double-digit saves with 12 in the match.

The Jills return to Ponzio Stadium on Saturday as they host the University of Minnesota, Morris at 1 p.m.
