NEW ULM, Minn.--- The Northland College Men's Soccer team continued UMAC Conference play this afternoon as they traveled to New Ulm, MN for a match against Martin Luther College. After trailing 1-0 early, the Jacks scored two second half goals to take the match 2-1 over Martin Luther.

After controlling much of the play early on, it was the home team who first were on the board as Martin Luther scored at the 23' mark of the first half to take the early 1-0 lead. After failing to connect on multiple scoring chances, the Jacks trailed 1-0 at halftime. In the second, the LumberJack offense finally came alive as Izaak Clarke tied the game three minutes after the start of the half. The Jacks continued to pepper the goaltender of Martin Luther and were finally able to break through the tie at the 78' mark of the match as Clarke netted his second goal of the game to put the Jacks in front 2-1. He was assisted by 
Osman Padilla on the goal. With time winding down, MLC had a quality scoring opportunity to tie the game up late with a LumberJack foul just outside of the box but the LumberJack defense stood strong and the Jacks took the match 2-1 over Martin Luther. 
Northland out-shot MLC 20-10. 
Jamie Colvill made 4 saves in net today for the Jacks. 
The Jacks continue UMAC play tomorrow (9/24) as they travel to Mankato, MN for an important UMAC conference game. Game time is set for 4:30pm.
