The Northland College baseball program has selected former starting pitcher, Jesus Carmona as their new assistant coach announced head coach Jeremy Snow. Carmona, who spent two seasons in a LumberJack jersey, recently finished his playing career last spring and will now shift his focus to helping prepare the program for the 2023 season. Jesus, or Jesse, came to Northland after a two year stint at Minnesota North - Rainy River College. He made an immediate impact on the pitching staff in his tenure as a LumberJack, capping his career with a complete game victory on Senior Day, in which he recorded a career high 11 strikeouts.

"I am very excited to have Jesse back this season in a coaching role," commented Snow. "He was a fun player to coach, a leader in our program and an outstanding student-athlete. I believe he will dive right in to forming development plans for our pitchers and bring energy and passion to our dugout. I cannot think of a better young man to help lead this program to new standards."

Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 14 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, Midwest Lacrosse Conference and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
