Watertown, WI – The Northland College Lumberjacks traveled to Maranatha Baptist University on Tuesday afternoon and picked up two non-conference wins. The Jacks took the first game 7-0 and the second game 12-2.
Senior
Jake Schramm hit a two run homerun in game one and
Matt Simpson and
Zach Ross each had multi-hit games. On the mound
Jesse Carmona went the distance to earn the win while striking out five with no walks.
In game two
Anthony Boyle had two hits for the Jacks including a home run, while
Peyton Solberg and Simpson also had multi-hit games.
Seth Hackbarth got the win on the mound with a complete game effort that saw him only allow four hits while he struck out eight.
The Jacks return to UMAC action tomorrow when they travel to UW-Superior for a double header. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00PM.
