Jacks Open Arizona Trip Against Dakota Wesleyan

TUCSON, AZ--- The Northland College Baseball team opened play on their annual Spring trip in Tucson, AZ today against Dakota Wesleyan. The Jacks would fall in both games by final scores of 11-1 and 9-3. 

After a Jake Schramm run scored in the top of the first inning in game one, Dakota Wesleyan used runs in the first, second, fourth and fifth innings to take game one, 11-1. 

Schramm, Keaton Arreazola, Anthony Boyle and Garrett Warren would collect hits for the Jacks in game one. 

Seth Hackbarth would get the start on the mound in game one, going 4.1 innings, allowing 4 earned runs. 

In game two it was Dakota Wesleyan taking the early lead, scoring 3 runs in the top of the first inning and added another in the second to go up 4-0. The Jacks would slowly chip away at the lead with runs in the bottom of the third and 4th to make it a 4-3 game. However, Dakota Wesleyan would explode of 5 runs in the top of the 6th to go on to take game two by a score of 9-3. 

Zack Nelson (SP), Claudio Aguilar  and Matthew Traeger would each see time on the mound in game two for the Jacks. 

Jake Schramm, Keaton Arreazola and Peyton Solberg would each collect a hit in game two for the Jacks. 

The Jacks continue play in Tucson, AZ tomorrow as they take on Wabash College in a single 9-inning game at the Kino Sports Complex. First pitch is scheduled to start at 1:30pm.
