Ashland, WI - The Northland College LumberJacks dropped a 7-3 WIAC contest to the UW-Stevens Point Pointers on Saturday afternoon. The Jacks finished the regular season at 4-18-3 on the year and 1-13-1-1 in the WIAC. The Pointers improved to 18-5-1 on the year and 11-2 in the WIAC.
The Pointers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period before senior
Cole Woodliffe scored a power play goal for the jacks in the final minute of the first to bring the score to 2-1 at the first intermission. The Pointers responded with a goal only 15 seconds into the second period, and than added a fourth less than two minutes later.
James Curran picked up the Jacks second goal three minutes later to make the score 4-2, but the Pointers responded with two more goals in the period to take a 6-2 lead into the second intermission.

The Jacks will travel to UW-Stout for their first round WIAC playoff matchup on Friday.
