Ashland, WI - The Northland College LumberJacks dropped a 6-2 WIAC contest to the UW-Stevens Point Pointers on Friday evening. The Jacks are now 4-17-3 on the year and 1-12-1-1 in the WIAC. The Pointers improved to 17-5-1 on the year and 10-2 in the WIAC.
The Jacks fell behind early and trailed 2-0 after the first period. The Pointers added two more in the second period before
Andrew Liwiski got the Jacks on the scoreboard with 9:38 left in the second period. The Pointers responded with another goal to make it 5-1, but the Jacks
Kenny Styles was able to find the back of the net with only 11 seconds remaining in the second period.
The Pointers were able to stop any comeback attempts in the third period and added a sixth goal with 1:22 left to play. Both teams meet again tomorrow at 2:00PM at the Bay Area Civic Center.
