ASHLAND, Wis.--- The Northland College Women's Soccer team hosted Northwestern MN this afternoon at Ponzio Stadium in a UMAC conference game. UNW scored one goal in each half to take today's match 2-0 over the Jills.

Five minutes into the opening frame, UNW found the early 1-0 lead after a corner kick that ricochet off multiple people in the box to make it 1-0. After the early goal, either team was able to create much offensively as UNW took the 1-0 lead into the half. In the second, it was UNW again who broke through the defense of Northland early in the half to score, making it 2-0. The Jills continued to fight to the end with scoring chances from
Reece Gellerman and
Liberty Dickerson but it wouldn't be enough as UNW took today's match 2-0 over the Jills.

The Jills are back in action this Tuesday as they host UW-Superior in a UMAC conference game. Game time at Ponzio Stadium is set for 7pm.
