ASHLAND, Wis.--- The Northland College Women's Soccer team hosted Martin Luther College this afternoon at Ponzio Stadium in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference matchup. The Jills recorded 8 shots in the second half but couldn't find the go ahead goal to finish in a 0-0 tie.

After some solid defense to open today's match from both teams, Northland's Justice Manuelito had a scoring chance halfway through the first half but couldn't connect as the game remained tied.
Liberty Dickerson and
Greta Keffer also had scoring chances in the first but the two teams went into halftime tied 0-0. The Jills came out of the gates flying in the second half, recording multiple scoring chances by Keffer. It looked like the LumberJills were going to take the lead after a rush down the right side from
Clara Schmiesing and shot that missed just inches off the post. With time winding down, the Jills made some nifty touch passing to set up
Liberty Dickerson with a blast but was denied by the keeper of MLC as the two team's would end in a 0-0 tie.
The Jills out shot Martin Luther College 11-5.
Elysabeth Lough, who remained relatively quiet in today's game, made 3 saves in net.
The Jills continue UMAC Conference play on Friday (October 21st) as they travel to Northwestern MN. Game time is set for 3:30pm.
