Ashland, WI - The Northland College Lumberjills took on the UW-River Falls Falcons on Saturday evening for the second time in as many days.  The Jills put together a much improved performance from Friday evening, but ultimately lost 8-0.  The Falcons improved to 16-1 while the Jills dropped to 1-16-1.

The Jills put together a strong defensive performance in the opening period, and nearly escaped the first period at 0-0, but the Falcons were able to score one late and take a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.  The Falcons added four in the second period to create some breathing room and than added three in the third.

Soleil Archambeault made 66 saves in net for the Jills.

The Jills return to action on Friday when they travel to UW-Stevens Point.
