APPLETON, Wis.--- The Northland College Men's Soccer team continued their non-conference schedule this evening as they hit the road for a match vs. Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. After taking a 1-0 lead into halftime, Lawrence would score two late goals in the second half to take the match 2-1 over the Jacks.

It didn't take long for the LumberJacks to get on the board as
Thomas Carey belted a goal to make it 1-0 for the Jacks less than 9 minutes into this evenings contest. The Jacks would continue to pressure the defense from the Vikings as Carey would continue to have chances early on but neither team would find the back of the net again in the half as the Jacks took a 1-0 lead into the halftime.
Lawrence would start the second strong, peppering
Jamie Colvill in goal for the Jacks and would be rewarded, finding the equalizer at the 68' mark of the second half. As time would wind down in the second half, it was Lawrence who broke through wih the lead, scoring with just 8 minutes left to play to take the lead 2-1. Northland would have a flurry of chances late as Izaak Clarke, Aisnworth Grant and
Diego Castaneda would all have chances but couldn't find the net as Lawrence would take the match 2-1 over the Jacks.
Colvill made 4 saves in goal today for the Jacks.
The Jacks will host Martin Luther College and Bethany Lutheran College this Friday and Saturday (Sep 24-25).
