Saint Peter, MN - The Gustavus Adolphus Gusties used three third period goals to defeat the Northland College Lumberjacks 5-2 on Friday evening.  With the win the Gusties improve to 7-6-1 overall, while the Lumberjacks fall to 4-12-1.

Trailing 2-0 in the first period, Kurt Sonne and Daniel Chartrand both found the back of the net to even the game at 2-2 before entering the frist intermission.  Taylor Unruh stopped all nine shots he faced in the second period to keep the Gusties off the scoreboard, but the Jacks weren't able to capitalize on any of their 15 shots on goal in the second period which kept the score tied at two.  

The Gusties foun the back of the net twice in the third period to pull ahead 4-2 and added an empty net goal in the final seconds for the 5-2 final.
