Jacks Skate to Win Over Vikings

Appleton, WI -

The Jacks squared off against NCHA opponent the Lawrence University Vikings tonight in Appleton, WI.

The Jacks didn't waste any time as Kalib (Gus) Ford would rip a shot between the pipes with 44 seconds elapsed in the period, giving the Jacks a fast 1-0 lead. He was assisted by Connor Evans and Cole Woodliffe. The Jacks would add to their lead later in the period as Zackary Fisher put it in the back of the net, giving the Jacks a 2-0 lead over the Vikings. He was assisted by Kalib (Gus) Ford and Cole Woodliffe. The Vikings would cut the Jacks lead down to one late in the period. The Jacks would go into the second up 2-1.

A Jacks' penalty would open the door for the Vikings as they would be able to score off the power play, tying the game up at 2-2. The Jacks would continue attacking the Vikings' net and record shots on goal throughout the period. With less than two minutes remaining, Zackary Fisher would score his second goal of the game, breaking the 2-2 tie and giving the Jacks another lead. Kalib (Gus) Ford recorded his second assist and Cole Woodliffe recorded his third assist of the night on the goal. The Jacks went into the third up 3-2.

The Jacks would remain in control for the majority of the third. Max Glashauser would add to the Jacks lead with 8:06 elapsed in the period, as he would put it past the Vikings' goaltender, giving the Jacks a 4-2 lead. He was assisted by Daniel Chartrand and Shane Roulette. The Jacks would hold on to win by a final score of 4-2.

David Krejcik recorded 30 saves on the night.

The Jacks will play at Marian University tomorrow (2/9). Puck drop is scheduled for 4pm.
