Milwaukee, WI – In the second game of the two-game series, the Lumberjacks would fall to the Milwaukee School of Engineering Men's Hockey Team by the score of 3-1.
In the 1
st period, the Jacks struggled to keep the Raiders off the board. MSOE scored two in the initial period to make the score 2-0 bad guys. After a rough start, the Jacks came out flying in the 2
nd period and were hard pressed to cut the score in half. The Jacks were able to do so at the 12:48 mark by
Matt Murphy. The goal was assisted by
Kyle Pouncy and Kalib Ford. The period would end with the score at 2-1 in favor of the Raiders.
The 3
rd period was an absolute battle. The Jacks found themselves a man up a few times in the period, however, they were unable to take advantage of Power Play opportunities. The Raiders would eventually cap the game off with a goal scored with less than 4 minutes remaining. The Jacks would lose in another close one, 3-1.
The Jacks fall to 0-2 on the year and take on Bethel University on Friday November 15
th in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Go Jacks!
