The Jacks traveled to Finlandia University tonight for a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association matchup against the Lions.
The teams were even to start the first, as they traded possession of the puck. The Jacks tallied shots on goal, but weren't able to capitalize early. The Jacks defense would keep the Lions out of the net, preserving a 0-0 tie. However, the Jacks finally broke through with less than two minutes remaining in the period as
Max Glashauser put it between the pipes, giving the Jacks a 1-0 lead.
Kyle Pouncy and
Kurt Sonne were credited with assists on the play. Just over a minute later the Jacks would strike again as
Kurt Sonne ripped a shot into the back of the net, putting the Jacks up 2-0.

The Jacks came out fast to start the second, continuing to tally shots on goal. However, they wouldn't be able to grow their lead. The Lions cut the Jacks lead down to one just under ten minutes into the half. The Jacks continued to pressure the Lions throughout the period, but weren't able to add on to their lead. They went into the third period still up 2-1.
The teams battled up and down the ice early in the third trying to secure the puck. With 15:25 elapsed in the period the Lions would tie it up at 2-2. They would take the lead just over a minute later. They would add an empty net insurance goal with seconds remaining. The Jacks fell by a final score of 4-2.
David Krejcik finished the night with 24 saves.
The Jacks will be back on the ice 1/25 at home against Marian University. Puck drop is set for 7pm.
