Milwaukee, WI -
The Jacks traveled to Milwaukee, WI tonight for a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association matchup against the Milwaukee School of Engineering Raiders.
The teams were evenly matched in the first as they raced up and down the ice securing the puck. The Jacks would tally shots on goal, but weren't able to break the scoreless tie. However, the Jacks' defense would keep the Raiders out of the net, preserving the scoreless tie.
Seconds into the second period the Jacks would take the first lead of the game as
Zackary Fisher would find the back of the net. He was assisted by
Kalib (Gus) Ford on the play. Less than two minutes later the Jacks would add to their lead as
Kyle Pouncy would rip a shot into the net, putting the Jacks up 2-0. With 7:03 elapsed in the period
Ty Kraus would join in the scoring, giving the Jacks a 3-0 lead. He was assisted by
Kurt Sonne and
Jacob Jeske on the play. The Raiders would get one back, but the Jacks would answer as
Jacob Jeske would put it past the Raiders goaltender to once again give the Jacks a three-point lead.
The Jacks struck first in the third, as
Jared Hester ripped a shot into the net. He was assisted by
Max Glashauser and
Kalib (Gus) Ford.
Michael Courvoisier would give the Jacks an insurance goal with 15:25 elapsed in the period. He was assisted by
Connor Evans.
Ty Kraus would finish the scoring for the Jacks, putting them up 7-1. He was assisted by
Kurt Sonne on the play.The Raiders would score with less than three minutes remaining in the period. However, the Jacks would hold on to win by a final score of 7-2.
David Krejcik finished the night with 37 saves.
The Jacks will be back in action tomorrow at Concordia University Wisconsin. Puck drop is scheduled for 4pm.
