The LumberJills hosted UMAC opponent the North Central University Rams tonight at the Chapple Family Gymnasium.

The Jills got off to a fast start, taking a 5-0 lead over the Rams. The Jills kept pressure on the Rams early in the half, widening their lead to 17-4. The Rams answered later in the half and cut the Jills' lead down to 5. However, the Jills would respond and build their lead to 22-12. The Jills would maintain their lead over the Rams and go into halftime up 36-29.

The Jills got on the board first in the second, widening their lead to 37-29. However, the Rams fought their way back into the game and eventually took their first lead of the game at 39-37. The Jills tied it up at 42-42, but the Rams would hit key shots and build their lead to 54-48. The Jills chipped away at the Rams' lead, but it wouldn't be enough. The Rams held on to win 69-60.

Katherine Taylor and Autumn Wormet led with 12 points, while Autumn Ninke added 10.

The Jills will be back in action 2/10 at Crown College. The game is scheduled to begin at 5pm.

Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 15 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference and the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.
