The Jacks hosted NCHA conference opponent the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons today for their second match of the weekend.
The Jacks wasted little time in the first as they quickly tallied shots on goal.
Kurt Sonne would get the scoring started for the Jacks as he'd put it in the back of the net, putting the Jacks up 1-0.
Jacob Jeske and
Ty Krause would be credited with assists on the play. The Falcons would tie it up seconds later with a goal of their own. The Jacks continued to tally shots on goal throughout the period, but wouldn't be able to add to their lead before the end of the period. They would go into the first intermission tied up at 1-1.
The Jacks continued their offensive attacks in the second, but it would be the Falcons who would break the tie and go up 2-1. With less than two minutes remaining in the period
Kyle Gonzalez would put it between the pipes tying the game up at 2-2. They would go into the third with the 2-2 tie intact.
The Jacks strong offensive showing carried over into the third as
Lucas DeBenedet buried the puck into the net, giving the Jacks a 3-2 lead. He was assisted by
Josh Racek and
Max Glashauser on the play. Four minutes later
Zackary Fisher would give the Jacks an insurance goal putting them up 4-2.
Michael Courvoisier and
Kyle Gonzalez assisted in the play. The Jacks would hold on to win by a final score of 4-2.
David Krejcik recorded 20 saves in the game. The Jacks out shot the Falcons 29-22 in the match.
The Jacks will be back on the ice 11/16 at home against the University of Wisconsin-Superior YellowJackets. Puck drop is set for 7pm.
