The Northland College LumberJills traveled to future NCHA opponent, and currently #3 nationally ranked, Adrian this weekend.
 
The Jills came out with a strong first period and were only down 1-0. The second period with the long change and short bench caught up to the LumberJills in the 2nd where Adrian netted 4 goals to bring the score to 5-0.  Northland refused to give up though and kept Adrian to just 11 shots in the third period.
 
Head Coach, Kelly Rider, commented that, "I was very happy and proud of how we came out and started tonight. At this point in the season against a top ranked team it would be easy to look past these games and onto our last game of the year, but our team was focused and worked hard together."
 
The Jills and Bulldogs face off again Saturday, the puck will drop at 3:00pm EST.
