The LumberJills faced off against the Adrian College Bulldogs today at the Bay Area Civic Center.
The Jills would get off to a slow start as they would fall behind to an early 3-0 deficit. Northland would struggle to get their offense going in the first period, as they would only be able to record 4 shots. The Jills would continue to fight throughout the match. In the second period the Jills' defense would be able to keep the Bulldogs in check, holding them scoreless for the entire period and keeping the game within reach. In the third period Adrian College would be able to add 2 more goals and take a 5-0 lead. The Jills would have their opportunities throughout the night, but wouldn't be able to get any shots into the back of the net. The Bulldogs would go on to win 5-0.

Kelly Rider commented on the game: "Our first period was unacceptable, but I thought our resiliency in the second and third was something to be very proud of. We hope we can come out with that same relentless mindset for 60 minutes tomorrow."

Maggie Cusey finished the day with 60 saves.
The LumberJills will be back in action tomorrow against Adrian College at the Bay Area Civic Center. The game is scheduled to begin at 2pm.
Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 15 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference and the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.
