The LumberJills hosted the St. Catherine University Wildcats today at the Chapple Family Gymnasium.

Northland would start out slow in the first quarter and would struggle to get anything going offensively against the Wildcats. The Wildcats were able to take a 19-7 lead into the second quarter. The Jills would chip away at the Wildcat lead, but the Wildcats would be able to answer and go into halftime with the 34-21 lead. Northland battled in the 3rd period, but the Wildcat offense kept them in check and maintained their lead into the fourth quarter. The Jills' offense would finally come together in the 4th, but it would be too late. The Wildcats would hold on for the 66-41 win.

Emily Wagner led the Jills with 10 points, while Sarah Houle and Katherine Taylor would add 8 and 7 respectively. Taylor would also lead the Jills with 3 assists on the night.

Northland will be back on the court 12/1 on the road against UW-River Falls. The game is scheduled to begin at 7pm.

Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 15 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference and Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.
