The LumberJills traveled to Duluth, MN today for an NCHA conference matchup against the College of St. Scholastica Saints.

The LumberJills threatened early in the first period, but weren't able to get any shots to land in the back of the net. The Saints would strike first in the period and take a 1-0 lead into the second period. The Saints would be able to add two more goals in the second period to widen their lead to 3-0. In the third, St. Scholastica added an insurance goal, increasing their lead to 4-0. The LumberJills would have multiple opportunities throughout the night, but wouldn't be able to capitalize. The Saints would claim the match 4-0.

The LumberJills tallied 20 shots in the game. Freshman goaltender Gabby Suhr recorded 33 saves on the night.

The Jills will be back on the ice tomorrow night at home against the Saints. The game is scheduled to begin at 7pm CST.

Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 15 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference and the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.
