Mount Vernon, Iowa- The LumberJills were handed their first loss against Cornell College this Sunday. The final score was 5-0. Keeper Emily Romuald (Fon du Lac, Wisc.) had a plethora of saves, and quickly redirected the ball to the Northland attackers. 

The Jills are keeping their heads up, and looking forward to the next match. "We're a new team," Coach Griggs told her team after the game. "Don't walk off the field without your heart. We have a game to prepare for." The Northland women face Finlandia on Wednesday at 2 p.m. for their home opener.
