Ashland, Wisc.- The LumberJills had a strong showing at home against Crown College. The Northland women won 5-1, for another three points towards confedrence rankings. Senior
Natalie Absil (Grays Lake, Ill.) scored a goal in the 38th minute of the first half. Sophomore
Madeleine Wieland (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) scored four goals on the day. Three of her goals were unassisted, and the fourth was assisted by
Laura Rethmann (Nashville, Tenn.).
The Jills were relentless on defense. Freshmen
Madison Erie (Red Wing, Minn.) and
Shona Aird (Oak Park, Ill.) controlled the outside of the field. Freshman
Jane Kittaka (Bedford, Ind.) and senior
Mikayla Jaeckel (Fort Atkinson, Wisc.) picked up where the other two left off in the second half. The women will face off against Bethany Lutheran College tomorrow in Ashland, Wisc. Kickoff is at 12 p.m.
