Minneapolis, Minn.- The Jills fought hard against Northwestern, but fell 3-2. The tale of the first half was determination. The women went down early, but battled with back-to-back goals from Laura Rethmann (Nashville, Tenn.) on a corner, and Madeleine Wieland (Buffalo Grove, Ill.). 
In the second half, the LumberJills kept up the intensity. Aiming for domination and ruthlessness, the women played a physical half, but could not hold the lead. The Northland women play again tomorrow, September 20th at North Central.
