Duluth, Minn.- The Northland women traveled to Saint Scholastica, but fell 1-7 by the final whistle. The Jills started off strong with a defensive stand, with junior Charlotte Edminster (St. Paul, Minn.) leading the way. As the first half came to a close, freshman Heather Jensen (Anoka, Minn.) found sophomore Madeleine Wieland (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) tearing down the left side of the field. Wieland sent the ball into the net to close out the half down 1-2. This was the first goal in conference play that has been scored against Saint Scholastica. 

Freshman keeper Emily Romuald (Fon du Lac, Wisc.) had eight saves in today's game. Two saves came in the first half, and the other six in the second. In the end, the Jills couldn't keep their pace up. The women look to rebound against University of Wisconsin-Superior on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
