Backman started in all 19 games during her junior season with Northland Softball... The outfielder led the team in batting average at .222, with 10 hits... Backman tallied one RBI, one run and drew two walks... On the base path she was two-for-three in stolen bases... In the field Backman recorded 28 putouts, two assists and finished with a .968 fielding percentage.
