WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Northland College Lacrosse team battled but fell 11-6 to Carroll University Saturday evening in Waukesha, Wis.

Northland started the game with a faceoff win by
Sam Lewis that transitioned into the opening goal by
Logan Gallagher in the first minute of action. Less than a minute later, Carroll would level the score. Late in the quarter, the Pioneers would score with a man advantage to take a 2-1 lead into the second period.

Elijah Clarke had to make an early save for NC to keep the deficit to one. Gallagher would net his second of the game to even things out at two apiece. The game was square for the next nine minutes until Carroll struck again. In the final four minutes CU would score four goal to go 6-2 entering halftime.

The LumberJacks had another quick goal to start the second half, this time
Brodie Trollop found the back of the net with Gallagher assisting him. Both teams would then trade goals with Gallagher making the score 4-7. The Pioneers would extend their lead with two more late goals.

Carroll started the final period with two goals in the first five minutes. Northland continued to put the pressure on and recorded their most shots in a quarter. Trollop scored his second of the game with Gallagher assisting him. In the final minutes the Jacks were a man up and Trollop netted the team's sixth goal in the 11-6 loss.

Gallagher was a part of five of the six Northland goals, scoring on three and assisting on two. Trollop had three goals and one assist to finish with four points. Gallagher led the team in shots with five on target with Trollop following with three. Defensively,
Trey Taylor and Gallagher paced NC in groundballs at three.
Avrey Roerick had a team-high two caused turnovers.

The LumberJacks travel to Hope College for their game on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
