MEQUON, Wis. – The Northland College Lacrosse team was defeated in its first road contest of the 2025 season, 23-4, by Concordia University (Wis.) Wednesday evening in Mequon, Wis.
Â
The Falcons had a dominant start to the game, scoring eight goals before Northland had its first shot.
Logan Gallagher had a one-on-one with the goaltender, and a behind-the-back shot put the LumberJacks on the board. The Northland scoring would stop there for the remainder of the first half.
Â
The second half was much better for NC as they would outscore CUW 3-2, but the first-half deficit was too much for the Jacks to overcome. In the second half, Gallagher netted two more goals, with
Brodie Trollop scoring the other one.
Â
Northland totaled seven shots on goal. Gallagher led the team with four, scoring on three of them. Trollop had the other three and scored on one. Gallagher, Trollop, and
Christian Shields all recorded an assist in the game. Defensively,
Elijah Clark picked up a team-high five groundballs, with
Trey Taylor following with four. Taylor led the game with five caused turnovers. In goal, Clark made 25 saves.
Â
The LumberJacks travel to Appleton, Wis., on Saturday with a rematch against Lawrence University starting at 1 p.m.
