MORRIS, Minn. – The Northland College Women's Basketball team fell to the University of Minnesota Morris 75-31 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon in Morris, Minn.
Leah Allan and
Britta Josephson led the scoring for the LumberJills, each totaling 11 points.

The Cougars made their first two shots of the game, jumping out to a 4-0 lead.
Hannah Peel connected from behind the arc on her first shot to cut the lead to one. Allan gave Northland the lead with a three-pointer shortly after. UMM responded by scoring the next two buckets to regain the lead. Josephson tied the game and then put the Jills ahead after completing a three-point play. The Cougars then went on a run, scoring the next seven points.
Hanna Hoskin ended the rally with her first three-pointer. Minnesota Morris scored the final point of the quarter to go up 18-12 after the first.

Northland struggled to convert in the second quarter. Allan scored one point at the line, but that was all the offense the Jills could generate in the period, allowing the Cougars to extend their lead with a 20-point quarter.

Josephson scored the first points for Northland in the second half with a layup on the team's first possession. Later in the quarter,
Hannah Peel scored her first points with a jump shot. Allan then added four points for Northland, followed by Josephson with the next four, to end the quarter.

Josephson continued her scoring in the fourth, putting up the team's first points of the quarter in the paint. The next three points came from Allan at the free-throw line. Peel capped the scoring by converting a free throw.

Allan scored a season-high 11 points, with Josephson matching her to lead Northland. Though not showing up on the score sheet,
Kodie Rempp assisted on a game-high three baskets. Josephson also recorded 12 rebounds to earn her third double-double of the season, with seven of those coming on the offensive glass. Rempp followed her with 10 rebounds. Hoskin and Josephson each blocked a shot in the contest.

Northland's next game is on Wednesday as they travel to North Central University for a 7:15 p.m. tip-off.
