ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Women's Basketball team was defeated 75-38 by Mount Mary University as they completed a two-game sweep over the LumberJills, Wednesday afternoon in Ashland, Wis.

The Blue Angels had the opening basket on the first shot of the game.
Britta Josephson leveled the game soon after then Northland had the lead after
Hannah Peel scored in the paint. Mount Mary then began to pull away from NC with a 10-point run.
Hanna Hoskin ended the run with a layup. The scoring for Northland would go quiet to end the quarter at MMU took a 16 point advantage after the first quarter.

Peel the scoring in the second half after going 1-for-2 at the line. After a Peel's block, Josephson scored on a fastbreak. The Blue Angels ended the rally with their first points of the quarter. Josephson continued to score in the paint with the team's next four points. In the final minute,
Kodie Rempp hit Northland's first three of the game, and as time was expiring
Jojo Lowmaster connected on a jumper.

The three shots of the second half were made with Rempp and Peel scoring in the paint. With four minutes left in quarter three, Hoskin made her first triple. Down the stretch, Josephson intercepted a pass and scored the open layup. The final points for NC came from Peel with a shot behind the arc.

Josephson made the opening shot of the final quarter with another layup. The scoring for Northland in the final frame was limited with Josephson and Hoskin scoring the rest of the shots.

Josephson matched her career-high with 14 points, leading Northland. Peel was second on the team with eight. Rempp and Hoskin added seven and Lowmaster chipped in two. Rempp had a team-high three assists. Defensively, Rempp matched her career-high with 13 rebounds, two offensive and 11 defensive. Peel had the team's sole block.

Northland starts Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play on the 8
th as they host Crown College at 7:15 p.m.
