ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Men's Soccer team fell in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference action 0-2 to the University of Minnesota Morris in Ashland, Wis., Saturday afternoon.

The first half was played to a scoreless draw with the Cougars edging out the Jacks 4-to-3 in shots on target.
Chris Gomez and
Deshaun Williams had the shots for Northland with Gomez having two on frame.

The second half is when UMM took the lead scoring in the 51
st minute and doubled their lead, two minutes later. The Jacks had scoring opportunities but could not find the back of the net dropping the contest 2-0.

The LumberJacks recorded five shots on target. Gomez led the way with two and Williams,
Jude Ayling, and
Landon Kusuno all tested the keeper with one.
Rodrigo Chavez made six saves in the loss.

The Jacks play next on Wednesday as they travel to the University of Wisconsin-Superior for a 7 p.m., game.
