LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Northland College Lacrosse team was downed 36-8 by Lake Forest College in Midwest Lacrosse Conference play Saturday afternoon in Lake Forest, Ill.

The Foresters did not take long before finding the back of the net, only 45 seconds before they took the lead. LFC had a dominant first quarter scoring 10 goals while holding Northland off the board.

Logan Gallagher broke the scoring run of the Forestest with Northland's first goal coming 37 seconds in the second quarter. The Jacks could not build off the opening goal as Lake Forest ballooned its lead to 18 after the first half.

To start the second half Gallagher scored the first two goals, both with the man advantage.
Cody Pfaller assisted on the second goal. Northland had the best quarter in the third, scoring five goals while holding LFC to only six.

The Jacks scored two more in the fourth but the high-powered offense of the Foresters scored 11 more goals to win 36-8.

Gallagher led the scoring for the LumberJacks with six of the eight goals.
Brodie Trollop chipped in the other two. Gallagher, Trollop, Pfaller, and
Anden Stroik all assisted on a goal.

Senior
Matt Maudsley made his collegiate debut in the goal. Maudsley saved 11 shots. Northland caused 10 turnovers with
Trey Taylor and
Avery Roerick leading the team with two.
Luke Ballard and
Bryson Cecconi paced the team with six ground balls.

The Jacks have their final home game next week when they host Cornell College at 11 a.m., on Saturday.
