DULUTH, Minn. – The Northland College Women's Basketball team was defeated 103-42 at the College of St. Scholastica Saturday afternoon in Duluth, Minn. Junior
Hannah Peel led the team with 17 points.

After eight points from the Saints,
Katelyn Altaha had the first Northland basket with a layup in the paint. The three-ball helped CSS build its lead early in the first quarter.
Kodie Rempp connected from deep for the first three-pointer for Northland.
Madie Linka scored her first collegiate points with a long-two to end the scoring for NC in the opening quarter.

Northland was held off the scoreboard for the majority of the second quarter. Peel scored her first point of the game at the line to end the scoring drought. Rempp had the next basket after driving coast to coast.

Peel had the first five points for NC coming out of the half with a triple and going 2-for-2 at the line. Alatha followed that up with two points in the paint.

The final quarter was the best of the season for the Jills with 24 points. Northland started the quarter on an 8-to-2 run capped off with a pair of free throws from Rempp. In the final three minutes,
Britta Josephson made her first basket from deep then after securing a defensive rebound got fouled and was perfect from the line. Peel had the final six points for the game all with layups in the paint.

Peel set a season-high with 17 points to pace Northland. Peel scored 10 of her points in the fourth quarter. Rempp also reached double figures with 12 points. Rempp paced the team in rebounds (9), assists (3), and steals (3). Altaha finished second on the team with six rebounds.

Northland returns to action in a week when they host Cornell College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
