MANKATO, Minn. – The Northland College Men's Soccer team was defeated 9-0 by Bethany Lutheran College in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference action in Mankato, Minn.
 
The Vikings took the lead in the 20^th minute after Rodrigo Chavez had made two saves early in the game. BLC continued to send shots toward the NC goal and went up 4-0 after the first 45 minutes. The LumberJacks held Bethany Lutheran to start the second half. Deshaun Williams was given his second yellow card, putting Northland down a man for the remainder of the game. 11 minutes playing with a man advantage BLC scores its fifth of the game. The goal led to four more and the win for the Vikings.
 
Daniel Bahati had Northland's sole shot of the game coming in the second half. Rodrigo was heavily tested and ended the game with 13 saves.
 
Northland returns to Ponzio Stadium on Tuesday for a UMAC game with the University of Northwestern at 4:30 p.m.
