ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Women's Basketball team was defeated by Martin Luther College 81-20 Friday evening in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play in Ashland, Wis.

With limited numbers due to injuries, Northland could not match the pace of the Knights resulting in a one-sided contest.

Leading offensively and defensively was junior
Kodie Rempp with nine points and nine rebounds. Rempp recorded eight of her nine rebounds in the first half. All of her points came from three-pointers as she went 3-for-7 from behind the arc.
Tara Sandoval tied Rempp in points with nine, off of two three-pointers, a layup, and a free throw. Â She was also second on the team with six rebounds.
Madison Mendoza chipped in the other two points for the LumberJills. Mendoza and
Madi Owens had four rebounds.

In her Women's Basketball debut,
Ellie Kracht played 20 minutes and did not turn the ball over.
Harley Heckendorf made her return to the court and recorded two rebounds.

The Jills host Bethany Lutheran College tomorrow (Saturday) at 3 p.m., in the Kendrigan Center.
