ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Men's Basketball team continues Upper Midwest Athletic Conference action with a pair of road games. The LumberJacks start their weekend at North Central University with a 7:15 p.m., game on Friday, followed by a 4:45 p.m., matchup with the University of Northwestern on Saturday.

The Rams are 5-9 overall and 2-1 in the UMAC. NCU is coming off an 81-65 victory over Northwestern on the road. The Rams along with the LumberJacks took part in the Radisson Holiday Classic but, were unable to come away with a win against the University of Wisconsin-River Falls or No. 7 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Senior Tanner Holtman paces the Rams with 172 with junior Nik Feller right behind him at 162.
 
The Eagles like Northland are still looking for their first conference win, overall UNW is 7-6 and 0-3 in the UMAC. Northwestern started the season on a seven-game winning streak but has dropped its last six. Senior Henry Fahnbulleh leads the scoring for the Eagles, averaging 14.5 points per game. On the defensive side of the ball, Fahnbulleh is top of the team with 86 rebounds and has totaled two double-doubles this season.
 
Last weekend the Jacks returned to UMAC action on the road against the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Northland kept pace for the majority of the first half but a late surge gave the Yellowjackets an 11-point lead that proved to be too much for Northland to overcome.
 
On the offensive side of the ball, Drew Lindberg has led the scoring, averaging 11.6 points per game. Jordan Brennan and Langston Flowers are right behind him at 10.1 and 9.6 respectively. Against the Yellowjackets Brennan had his sixth game in double-figures. Flowers and Brennan pace the Jacks in assists with 26.
 
Defensively, Jahlani Thornton has grabbed a team-leading 49, with Lindberg two behind at 47. Brennan ranks third in the UMAC with 27 steals, one away from second. Sophomore Stephen Kesti has a team-high eight blocks. Against Division II Bemidji State Kesti sent back two shots.
