ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Women's Soccer team suffered its first home loss of the season, falling 5-0 to the University of Wisconsin-Superior Wednesday night in Ashland, Wis.

The Yellowjackets were hot from the start sending shots to
Elysabeth Lough from the rip. Lough made three stops in the first 12 minutes of play before UWS scored its first goal. The Yellowjackets continued to attack the goal ending the first half with four goals on 17 shots. Lough made seven saves in the first 45 minutes. The Jills held the Yellowjackets to only one goal in the second half. Northland had its best opportunity in the 76
th minute when
Tiffany Tinsley got past the defense and had a one-on-one with the goalie but her shot was saved.

Northland recorded four shots in the match, all coming in the second half.
Alyssa Riddle tallied her third shot of the season testing the Yellowjackets keeper in the 75
th minute. Coming off the bench
Isabelle McCurry and Tinsley had the other three shots. McCurry led the team with two shots. In goal, Lough totaled 11 saves.

The Jills will host Bethany Lutheran College on Saturday at 4:30 p.m., at Ponzio Stadium.
