ASHLAND, Wis.--- The Northland College Lacrosse team hosted Monmouth College this afternoon at Ponzio Stadium in an MLC conference matchup. The Jacks dominated from start to finish, winning 17-6, moving them into a tie for third place in MLC conference standings.

The LumberJacks wasted little time today to find their grove, jumping out to the early 5-1 lead off goals scored by Brodie Trollop (2), Jackson Breton, Anden Stroik (UP) and Phil Peacy. Breton and Trollop added goals as time winded down in the first to give the Jacks a 7-3 lead. Monmouth made things interesting in the start of the second, making it 7-5 but the Jacks pulled away for good, scoring the next four goals from Kyle Parker (2) and Trollop (2) to lead 11-5 at the half. 

Stroik, Parker (2), Breton, Parker scored goals in the second half as the Jacks continued to cruise to victory. With time winding down, Aidan Hood netted his first goal of the season off of a blast to make it 17-6 to give the Jacks the victory. 

The Jacks out-shot Monmouth 46-18. Tony Donaldson made 5 saves in net today for the Jacks. 

Aidan Hood led all LumberJacks in ground balls. Max Shafer led the Jacks in caused turnovers with 7. 

The Jacks will travel to Minneapolis, MN on Tuesday (April 25th) to take on Northwestern MN in a non-conference matchup. Game time is scheduled to start at 3pm.
