Jacks Season Comes to a Close Against Dubuque

ASHLAND, Wis.--- The Northland College Men's Lacrosse team hosted the University of Dubuque this afternoon at a rainy Ponzio Stadium. The Jacks, who needed a win today to keep their playoff hopes alive due to a tie-breaker, fell by a final score of 17-4.

Dubuque opened the scoring today on an 8-0 run before Anden Stroik got the Jacks on the board to make it 8-1 on the man-up opportunity. He was assisted by Jackson Breton. Dubuque continued the pressure, taking a 14-1 lead into the half. Kyle Parker (2) and Brodie Trollop netted goals for the Jacks in the second half but it wouldn't be enough as the Jacks would fall today by a score of 17-4. 

Tony Donaldson made 6 saves today for Northland in goal. 

Aidan Hood played tremendous today for the Jacks, having 7 caused turnovers and 5 ground balls leading the LumberJack defense.

With the loss today, the Jacks did not qualify for the MLC playoffs due to a tiebreaker goal differential with Cornell College and Northwestern MN. The Jacks finished the season with a 5-8 record and were 2-3 in MLC play.
