WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Northland College Men's Basketball team was defeated 61-86 by Carroll University in a nonconference game Sunday afternoon in Waukesha, Wis.

The Jacks started the game 0-for-3 from the field, trailing by seven before
Jahlani Thornton got Northland on the board with a layup assisted by
Stephen Kesti. The following two possessions NC converted to pull within one.
Langston Flowers started a seven-point run for the Jacks with the team's first three-pointer. The run got Northland within three but that was the closest NC got to the lead. The Pioneers ended the half with a deep ball to go up 39-24.

Kayden Palmi answered a layup from CU with a layup of his own to keep the lead for expanding.
Drew Lindberg scored his first three of the game for Northland's next point to cut the lead to 13. Near the 15-minute mark, the Pioneer ballooned their lead to 20 and the Jacks were unable to chip away at the lead falling 86-61.

12 student-athletes recorded points in the action with Lindberg leading the team with nine. Lindberg shot 4-for-6 from the field and 1-for-1 from behind the arc. Flowers and Palmi finished the game with seven points. Rounding out the top five were Kesti and
Blake Richard with six. Flowers had four of Northland's 11 assists with
Jordan Brennan behind him with three.

The Jacks were outrebounded 29-to-38. Coming off the bench
Jaden Jones led Northland with six rebounds, two offensive and four defensive. Lindberg was behind Jones with five.
Donovan Washington had a team-high two steals in the contest.

The Jacks have a two-week break before they return to action when they travel to River Falls, Wis., on Dec. 29 for a 7 p.m., tipoff against the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
