BELOIT, Wis. – The Northland College Men's Basketball team was unable to get the result against Beloit College 73-56 in a nonconference game Saturday evening in Beloit, Wis.

After giving up six unanswered points, the Jacks responded with a three-pointer from
Damian Cejka and a pair of made free throws from
Stephen Kesti to bring Northland within one. The Buccaneers regain their lead with another big run.
Drew Lindberg made a three to try to kick start the offense, but Beloit answered back with a three and jumper to go up 10. After trailing by double-figures the Jacks pull together a run capped off with a jump shot from Cejka to pull within three. In the final seconds, Northland trailed 30-23.
Langston Flowers hit a three to trial four going into the half.

Starting the second half, the teams traded baskets. Lindberg started to chip away at the Beloit lead with a four-point play to make the score 37-32. The Buccaneers regained their double-digit lead. Northland was unable to get within single digits and ended up falling 73-56.

Flowers led the team with a game-high 18 points, six coming from the free-throw line. Lindberg also reached double-figures with 13 points, making three three-pointers. As a team, the Jacks shot 18-for-54 (33.3%) from the field, 6-for-23 (26.1%) from deep and 14-for-17 (82.4%) from the free throw line.

Flowers also led the defense with five rebounds on the defensive glass. Kesti and
Jaden Jones were behind him with three. The Jacks had five steals coming from Flowers (2), Jones (2), and
Jordan Brennan (1).

The Jacks have one more road game before the holiday break as they travel to Carroll University for a 1 p.m., tipoff tomorrow (Sunday).
