MENOMONIE, Wis. – The Northland College Men's Basketball team started its weekend falling to the University of Wisconsin-Stout 93-62 in nonconference action Friday night in Menomonie, Wis. Senior
Jordan Brennan led the scoring for the Jacks with 17 points.

After an early basket from
Langston Flowers, the Jacks were down 9-2 in the first few minutes. Later in the half, Brennan knocked down a three and a jump shot and
Jahlani Thornton scored on a fast break to level the game at 17, forcing the Blue Devils to take a timeout.
Kayden Palmi gave the Jacks their first lead of the game after converting on a jump shot and Brennan extended the lead to four with a pair of free throws. The lead did not last too long with UWS going on runs and Northland unable to make shots in the final stretch gave the Blue Devils a 52-37 lead at the end of the half.

Stephen Kesti started the scoring in the second half with a jump shot assisted by Thornton. UWS continued to pad its lead scoring nine unanswered. The largest run the Jacks came up with in the second half was four, all free throws from Brennan. The Blue Devils continued where they left off in the first half ending the game up 93-62.

Brennan led the scoring for Northland with 17 points, the only student-athlete to reach double figure. He shot 5-for-9 from the field, 1-for-3 from behind the arc and 6-for-6 from the free throw line.
Drew Lindberg was behind him with nine points, all coming from deep. Flowers rounded out the top three in scoring with eight points.

The Blue Devils out rebounded Northland 41-to-33 but the Jacks had more offensive rebounds with 13. Thornton paced the team with five and Flowers was behind him with four. The duo both had two offensive rebounds. The Jacks had four blocks, all coming from different players:
Blake Richard, Flowers, Palmi and Kesti.

The Jacks return home tomorrow (Saturday) as they host the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire at 5 p.m.
