DE PERE, Wis. – The Northland College Women's Basketball team fell to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh 83-17 at the Nicolet National Bank Tip-Off Tournament Saturday afternoon in De Pere, Wisconsin.

The Titans scored five points in the first minute but the Jills responded back with a pair of layups from
Madison Mendoza and
Tianna McKinley to make the game 5-4. UWO kept its pace as Northland could not keep up with them and Titans ended the first quarter up 26-6.

In the second quarter, the Jills held the Titans to only 16 points, the lowest-scoring quarter in the game. Northland could not capitalize on the low-scoring quarter by only putting one point from a free throw from
Katelyn Altaha.

Down big coming out of the half the LumberJills' deficit was too big to come back falling 83-17.

Even in the low-scoring affair McKinley still puts up double figures with 11 points. She shot 5-for-15 from the field and 1-for-2 from the free-throw line. The Jills could not convert from deep going 0-for-14 from behind the three-point arc. Coming off the bench
Jojo Lowmaster led the team in rebounds with four.

Next week Northland will be at the UW-La Crosse Thanksgiving Tournament. On Saturday the Jills will face the University of Wisconsin-River Falls at 5 p.m., followed by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Sunday at 3 p.m.
