ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Women's Soccer team concluded its 2023 season by falling to the University of Northwestern 2-0, Saturday afternoon at Ponzio Stadium. The LumberJills recognized six seniors on Senior Day before the game.

Before the game, Northland gave some love to their seniors:
Laura Hink,
Izzy Haverkampf,
Isabelle McCurry,
Clara Schmiesing Reece Gellerman, and
Kristen Vensland. Vensland ended her career with the LumberJills playing every minute since her freshman year totaling 4203 minutes on the field.

The Jills held the Eagles without a goal in the first half. Elysbeth Lough made nine saves to keep Northland in the match. In the 57
th minute, Megan Moeller broke to deadlock to give UNW the lead. Anahi Dia Morales had her first shot of the season in the 73
rd minute. The Eagles scored the final goal of the game in the 85
th minute to win 2-0.

Lough had her 10
th game with double-digit saves. She recorded 16 in the final game of the season.
