ASHLAND, Wis.--- The Northland College LumberJacks hosted Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) this afternoon in their 2022 home opener. MSOE used three first half goals en route to a 3-0 victory over the Jacks.

After an even first couple of minutes to open the half, it was the Raiders that opened the scoring at the 16' mark of the first half. Just after it looked as the Jacks found their groove, controlling play and creating a few scoring chances, one off the foot of Harrison Tibbetts, MSOE scored back to back goals to extend their lead to 3-0. The Jacks, who played much stronger in the second half, had quality scoring chances from Izaak Clarke, Nick Diaz, Osman Padilla and later Gabriel Casco but were unable to find the back of the net as the raiders would take the non-conference matchup 3-0 over the Jacks. 

Jamie Colvill, who played strong again in net today for the Jacks, finished with 5 saves. 

The Jacks continue their tough non-conference schedule on Thursday (Sep 8th) as they host UW-Eau Claire. Game time at Ponzio Stadium is set for 7pm.
