Northland College Women's Volleyball played a tightly contested match at home on Tuesday night, ultimately falling in five sets to UW-Superior.

The Northland College Women's Volleyball team opened up conference play on Tuesday night at home against UW-Superior. The match marked the second time the two squads have squared off this season, having played in a tournament together just over a week ago. The LumberJills, looking to avenge the earlier loss in the season, played the match in front of a lively home crowd for the first match of the year in Kendrigan Gymnasium. Unfortunately, the Yellowjackets bested the Jills 15-25, 25-22, 25-16, 19-25, 5-15.
Shelby Justman lead the LumberJills with 15 kills on the night.
Larissa Fossum added a double-double with 11 kills and 15 digs.
Rachel Callow contributed 32 assists and 10 digs.
Alexa Zadra lead the team with 15 digs.
Northland (4-5, 0-1 UMAC) will be back on the court Friday night at home for conference matchup with Bethany Lutheran College.Â
