ASHLAND, Wis.--- The Northland College Softball team hosted UW-Superior this afternoon at LumberJill Field. The Jills were able to honor their three Seniors, Saylor Donnelly, Sofia Garcia and Jenna Reyes for their hard work and dedication to LumberJill Softball. Unfortunately the Jills unbeaten streak at home came to an end, falling to the Yellow Jackets in both games by scores of 11-8 and 16-3. 

Game 1

In game one, Sofia Garcia would get the start in the circle for the Jills. Back and forth action was present in game one as the two teams combined for 14 runs in the first three innings with UWS jumping out to the early 8-6 lead. The Jills trailed by one run in the fourth as Sofia Garcia hammered an rbi single, scoring Donnelly to make it 8-7. After runs from UWS in the fifth, the Jills continued to fight at the plate as Kayla Preisler hit a sac fly, scoring Reyes but it wouldn't be enough as UWS would take game one by a score of 11-8 over the Jills. 

Jenna Reyes and Sofia Garcia each collected three hits in game one for the Jills. 

Game 2

In game two, UWS scored six innings in the third inning and never looked back, taking game two by a final score of 16-3 over the Jills. Saylor Donnelly and Elizabeth Peters each collected two hits in game two for the Jills. Kayla Preisler and Ariana Wilson each saw time in the circle for the Jills. 

The Jills travel to Mankato, MN this weekend where they will have a rematch with UWS. Game time is set to start at 4pm.
