ASHLAND, Wis.--- The Northland College Men's Lacrosse team opened Midwest Lacrosse Conference play this afternoon at Ponzio Stadium against Lake Forest College. The Jacks fell to the Foresters by a score of 10-6.

The Jacks found themselves in an early 3-0 hole before
Tristan Petrie powered his way through the Lake Forest defense for a goal to make it 3-1 in the first period. Lake Forest continued to carry momentum early, scoring four more consecutive goals, leading the Jacks 7-1 in the second. The Jacks would claw their way back into the game before halftime with goals coming from
Anden Stroik,
Jakob Wohlford and
Cody Pfaller to make it 7-4 at the half.
Lake Forest once opened the second half with another scoring run, scoring three straight to make it 10-4.
Brodie Trollop later added two goals but it wouldn't be enough as the Jacks would fall to the Foresters 10-6.
Aidan Hood led all LumberJacks with 12 caused turnovers in today's game.
Viktor Wennberg played strong in relief, making 14 saves in net.
The Jacks continue conference play this Tuesday as they host Northwestern MN. Game time is set for 6pm.
